One area of life that can be especially challenging to go plastic-free in is the bathroom - especially when it comes to your beauty routine. We want to change that, starting with our Face Oil. It’s Australia’s first Plastic Free Face Oil- AND it’s made right here in Australia from 100% natural ingredients! Our hero ingredients will leave your skin feeling nourished and hydrated - and when you're finished, the entire packaging is 100% recyclable. That’s right, zero waste skincare! Excited? We are too!
What’s inside?
The Face Oil is made right here in Australia with 100% naturally derived and 60% certified organic ingredients including:
- Macadamia Oil: rich in powerful antioxidants, essential fatty acids, vitamins, and other nutrients that make it a superfood for your skin.
- Coconut Oil: has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, it moisturises dry skin and improves skin hydration.
- Jojoba Oil: to firm-up and keep your skin hydrated, it contains iodine, which helps fight harmful bacteria growth that causes pimples, blackheads, and breakouts.
- Avocado Oil: rich in antioxidants A, C, & E and supports skin healing and collagen production.
- Vitamin E: contains antioxidant properties that help reduce UV damage to the skin caused by the sun.
We test all of our products on humans, not animals so our Face Oil is Cruelty Free and also Vegan Friendly - which means there are no animal products in our ingredients. It’s also Palm Oil Free and Gluten Free.
What we left out
We are so proud to have created a product using 100% naturally derived ingredients. We feel what we left out is just as important. The Face Oil is free from harmful, synthetic ingredients typically found in other beauty products like PEGs, Phthalates, Sulfates and Parabens. Instead of synthetic fragrance there’s a lovely subtle scent of essential oils including Orange, Lavender, Bergamot, Geranium and Bitter Orange. This means you can work our Face Oil into your daily routine knowing it’s good for your skin, and for the planet.
How do I use it?
By using glass, cork and aluminium, we have reimagined what skincare could look like without the plastic packaging. We’ve created a Face Oil that is plastic free. To fully avoid the use of plastic in our design, we created The Face Oil without a dropper. To use The Face Oil without a dropper, simply place two fingers or the palm of your hand over the opening of the bottle and tip it over. Easy!
As every skin type is slightly different, you can choose to apply The Face Oil before or after your regular moisturiser. Due to the hydrating and moisturising effects of the coconut and jojoba oil, some skin types can use The Face Oil as a replacement for their moisturiser entirely.
As a final step in your skincare routine - add Sunscreen. We recommend always allowing your skin to dry before applying our Reef Safe Sunscreen in Natural or Tinted.
The Gua Sha Tool
The Gua Sha technique is one that has been part of traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years, and is now used globally due to its many benefits. It’s a simple scraping technique that helps with relieving muscle tension, soothing puffiness, improving circulation, and smoothing out your skin - to name a few!
We recommended using our Gua Sha Tool after you’ve applied your Face Oil for the ultimate self-care treatment. Not only will it help with all of the benefits listed above, it’ll also help increase the absorption of the oil for a dewy complexion!
Packaging
We’re constantly evaluating our products to see how we can do things better and part of that includes our product packaging. You might have noticed that many beauty products come in plastic, and a lot of it! Our Face Oil comes packaged in FSC certified paper stock that is 100% cardboard so you can add it to your home compost or recycling bin. The cork under the lid can be composted as well, and the glass bottle and aluminium lid can be added to your recycling bin.

I’ve always been completely beauty obsessed and have been fortunate enough to work for some amazing beauty companies in the past! This opened my eyes and boosted my knowledge in this area, skincare in particular.
My skin can be very temperamental so finding products that work can be a challenge. Because of this, I really value times when my skin is good and the confidence I feel when my skin is under control.
For me it’s so important to be mindful of what I put on my skin. Because of this I love to choose products that are active concentrated formulas free from ingredients like parabens, synthetic colours and fragrances, etc.
A face oil to me is like a super charged hug for the skin protecting, healing and locking in all of the other wonderful ingredients used in my routine. When choosing an oil, I look for products that are as natural as possible while rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids - that’s why I love The Face Oil!
There are two ways I love to use this nourishing oil. One is at the end of the evening, once I have applied my other products, I gently press a few drops on my face, neck, chest and hands.
The second is placing a few drops in my moisturiser either morning or night as it creates such a beautiful rich consistency and sinks wonderfully into the skin.
