Use & Care

This is an indoor Kitchen Compost Bin - use outdoors is not advised and may affect longevity. Both the bin and filter can be washed in warm soapy water. Avoid hot or boiling water as this may damage the paint. Do not place in the dishwasher. We advise against placing hot food in the Compost Bin as the heat and condensation can affect longevity. Make sure the filter and the bin are both air dried before reassembly.

How do I compost my food scraps?

Simply empty your scraps directly into your outdoor compost bin. If you're lucky enough to live in a council area that collects organic food waste simply add your scraps to your green bin. If neither of these are possible we'd encourage you to check Sharewaste to find your nearest composting option!

Kitchen Compost Bin

I really love the natural Eucalyptus colour of the bin it looks great on my kitchen bench. I use it every day to compost veggie scraps so I'm doing my garden a big favour too. I'm so happy with this purchase.

Cannot recommend highly enough!

We made the change from an enamel bucket and the investment was well worth it! The compost bin not only holds considerably more than our old bucket but the lid and filter really work to contain any smell

Big and beautiful

This is my second time purchasing a Seed&Sprout Compost bin (because we need 1 for worms and 1 for compost). Even though I did search around for a cheaper option this time round I couldn’t find anything nearly as beautiful with such good capacity. The design has improved slightly too as this one’s lid is slightly easier to open than my old one.
