Why we’re changing how we give back in 2026

When I started Seed & Sprout, it came from a place of wanting to do better, for our homes, for our families, and for the planet.

As the business has grown, so has the responsibility that comes with it. And one thing I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about is how we give back and how we can do it more thoughtfully.

In 2026, we’re taking a more intentional approach to charitable giving. One that reflects the complexity of the challenges we’re facing, and the many different ways change can happen.

Moving beyond one-off donations

There are so many incredible organisations doing vital work. But no single charity can address everything, and focusing on just one place can unintentionally limit impact elsewhere.

That’s why next year, Seed & Sprout will be donating up to $5,000 every month, rotating across three key areas:

  • People
  • Planet
  • Innovation

Each quarter, we’ll shift focus so that over the year we’re supporting a wide range of causes - from frontline community support, to environmental protection, to future-focused solutions.

People, planet and what comes next

Some of the causes we’ll support are close to my heart - like domestic violence support, homelessness services and mental health care. Others protect the places we love, including our oceans, soil and ecosystems.

And then there’s innovation.

Some of the most hopeful climate solutions I’ve learned about in recent years - things like kelp farming or regenerative agriculture - don’t always fit neatly into traditional charity models. But they matter. Deeply.

For those, we’ll sometimes give differently: by using our platform, our time and our voice to help raise awareness and momentum.

This isn’t just our decision

What feels especially important to me is that this isn’t something we’re doing to our community; it’s something we’re doing with you.

We’ll be inviting our community to nominate charities they care about, and our team will also help shape where support goes, including local organisations making a difference on the ground.

Because generosity should be shared, not top-down.

Why this matters

I don’t believe sustainability is about perfection. It’s about progress, intention and responsibility.

This new giving approach is our way of stepping into that responsibility more fully and using Seed & Sprout not just as a product brand, but as a platform for positive change.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Every choice you make to support Seed & Sprout helps make this possible.
