Our Wood Fibre Chopping Boards in a NEW Limited Edition colourway, Nutmeg. Like our original Wood Fibre Chopping Boards in Liquorice, they're incredibly durable, crafted from compressed pine wood and food-grade resin, ensuring long-lasting performance. Being dishwasher safe, it simplifies kitchen cleanup, making daily chores a breeze.

Additionally, it serves as an eco-conscious choice, providing an alternative to traditional plastic chopping boards, thus reducing plastic usage in the kitchen.

Our brand new chopping boards are the perfect alternative;

100% dishwasher safe
Won't crack, warp, split or mould
Lighter and more durable than a regular solid wood chopping board
Non-porous surface
Zero maintenance required
Contains 20% LFGB certified food grade resin to bind the wood (certified free from formaldehyde)

Its slim design, measuring only 6mm thick, facilitates easy storage without taking up much space in your kitchen. Moreover, it's sourced from FSC-certified pine wood, reflecting our commitment to environmentally responsible forestry practices.

Whilst they're not 100% plastic free (they're bonded with a resin which is technically a type of plastic), they're definitely an upgrade to a polyethylene or polypropylene board

How do you clean a wooden chopping board?

Our wooden chopping boards are dishwasher friendly! If you choose to wash by hand, they are only 6mm thick so they won't take up much room on your draining rack either!

How big is your large chopping board?

Our largest chopping board is 44cm by 32cm and is only 6mm thick. In our opinion it's the best chopping board out of the three!

Why did you decide to make wooden chopping boards?

A recent study found tiny microplastics inside food cut on plastic cutting boards - eek! Made from compressed pine wood, our new wood fibre chopping boards are as convenient as a plastic chopping board with the safety and durability of a wooden chopping board.

I had to twice remind Seed & Sprout to issue my purchase - the second time because they mistakenly didn’t include the other item. I am finding the boards to flake quickly (kinda seems like plastic is coming off but I know it’s not plastic). Pretty disappointed given the price both on service and quality

Hi Kristen, thank you for getting in touch. We're sorry that we let you down on this occasion. We've just moved warehouses (a mammoth task!) and inevitably we've had a few hiccups along the way. In regards to the flaking this is nothing to worry about, chopping on any surface with a knife (plastic, wood or wood fibre) will cause a few scratches - it shouldn't affect the performance in any way. I’m loving my chopping boards, makes chopping easy and so good I can put them in the dish washer too, I don’t use the chemical washing pods etc,I have them out standing up on my kitchen bench for all to see, so thank you for an awesome product.

Amazing! Good quality!

This chopping board is fantastic, I love that it is thin but solid/good quality and most of all, no microplastics! I feel so much better knowing that it’s good quality and material.
