The Breakdown
The built in charcoal filter is what makes composting practical day to day for this kitchen compost bin, trapping odours before they escape so the bin can stay out on your bench, lid on, without giving away what's inside. At 6.9L, it holds a few days' worth of scraps before you need to tip it out.
The mulberry colour adds a bit of warmth to a job that's usually purely functional, and holds up well to daily use without showing it.
A few things worth knowing before it lands on your bench:
- Suits council green bin collection, backyard compost heaps, or a local drop off point if you don't have either
- Comes with our composting resources on hand, so what goes in and what doesn't is never a guess
Filters wear out with regular use, but a replacement is easy, just pick one up separately and the bin keeps working like new.
If lining the bin is more your style, it's sized to fit our 8L home compostable liners perfectly, so the whole bag can go straight into your green bin or garden compost. These liners are certified to Australian Standard AS4736, breaking down wherever oxygen and microorganisms are present, land or water.
